Entry Fee - Cash Prize Sections:  $45 – (Late or on-site registration $55) 

          Entry Fee - UnRated Section: FREE - note there are no cash prizes for UnRated.

Entry Fee - Scholastic Sections:  $15 – (Late or on-site registration $20)

USCF Membership Required - USCF membership Available online at uschess.org.

Tournament Day Schedule Sunday March 19th

9am Doors Open, 9:30 am Late Registration Ends

Round 1 - 10 am    lunch 11:20 to 12 noon

Round 2 - 12 noon   Round 3 - 1:30 pm  Round 4 - 3 pm   

Prizes for Cash Prize Sections:          

4 Points $200, 3.5 Points $100, 3 Points $50, 2.5 Points $25

Scholastic or UnRated Section Prizes:         

4 Points = First Place Medal, 3.5 Points = Second Place Medal 

3 Points = Second Place Medal, 2.5 Points = Third Place Medal

4SS G30/d10 - 4 Round Swiss, Game in 30 Minutes, 10 second delay

Black and Brown Belts; 1800 to 1400.                               Affects both Regular and Quick

4SS G30/d10 – 4 Round Swiss; Game in 30 minutes, 10 second delay

Purple and Green Belts; 1400 to 1000:                              Affects both Regular and Quick

4SS G30/d10 – 4 Round Swiss; Game in 30 minutes, 10 second delay

Blue and Orange Belts; 1000 to 0600:                                Affects both Regular and Quick

4SS G30/d10 – 4 Round Swiss; Game in 30 minutes, 10 second delay 

Yellow and White Belts; Basic 1&2; 0600 to 0100:          Affects both Regular and Quick

4SS G30/d10 – 4 Round Swiss; Game in 30 minutes, 10 second delay

Medal Prize Sections:

 UnRated -   4 Round Swiss; Game in 30 minutes, 10 second delay

Unrated Section limited to 8 players.

Scholastic: All grades Kindergarten thru 12.  4 Round Swiss; Game in 30 minutes, 10 second delay 

Scholastic section will be subdivided based on number of players.  Overall limit of 48 players.

Too few players and Odd number of players

All Players will be able to play four games, unless section has too few players.

In the event of a section having an odd number of players, cross round pairing will occur.

 

Too Few Players Rules

 1 player -> Automatic award of 4 Point Prize. (You must show up to win money via too few players points)

2 Players -> Two games will be played, each player plays white once and black once. 

Both players are awarded two additional points for the two unplayable games.

3 Players -> All players play 2 games against the 2 other players, once as white and once as black
